Who writes our content

All educational content on this site — including blog posts, course descriptions, and aftercare guides — is written or directly supervised by Liz Martin, a Texas-licensed cosmetologist and certified lash instructor with 8+ years of professional experience. Articles carry an author byline and a link to the author's bio. We do not publish anonymous or ghostwritten clinical-instruction content.

How we research and source

• Procedural details (timing, chemistry, aftercare) are based on hands-on practice in our own beauty lounge and on manufacturer specifications for products we actually use.
• Regulatory claims (licensing, scope of practice in Texas) are linked to the relevant primary source — typically the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
• We use ranges instead of single numbers when real-world variation is significant — for example, we say "lash lifts last 6–8 weeks" rather than picking one number — and we explain what shifts the range.
• Where we don't have firm data (e.g., effects of pregnancy hormones on lash lift retention), we say so explicitly rather than making it up.

Use of AI

We sometimes use AI tools to draft content outlines, suggest phrasing, or produce first drafts from briefs. Every published article is reviewed and edited by a human author with the relevant license and experience before it goes live. AI is never the final voice on a procedure or safety claim.

What we will not do

• We do not publish medical advice. Anything that could affect a pregnancy, an eye condition, or a medication interaction is flagged with a recommendation to consult a licensed physician.
• We do not publish fabricated client reviews or testimonials. Any first-person quote on the site is from a real, identifiable person with their permission.
• We do not pay for media coverage, link insertions, or "expert quotes" without disclosing the relationship.

Affiliate disclosure

We do not currently use affiliate links. If we begin recommending specific products in exchange for compensation, we will disclose it in the article and tag the link with rel="sponsored" as appropriate.

Updates and corrections

We update articles when prices, regulations, or best practices change. The "last updated" date in each Article schema reflects the most recent substantive edit. If you spot a factual error, email [email protected] with the URL and the correction — we'll review and fix it within a reasonable time, and add a correction note where the correction materially changes the original meaning.
